Course Description

Lions and Tigers and Bears... Oh my!

In Amazing Animals Robotics, students create their own robotic animals.  Build them; code them; and then make them RRROOOAARR!!!  Students have fun and learn about engineering, coding, circuits, and sensors as they build Dinosaurs, Dolphins, Preying Mantises, and much more.

Each week, Students build a different animal robot. Students learn about the animal and its behavior in its natural habitat and then are provided instructions on how to build it. Teams use LEGO bricks, gears, and pulleys as they learn Engineering concepts. Students add electrical motors, circuits, and sensors and Code their robots to make them move and react to its environment autonomously.  Students learn how to apply their grade level skills in arithmetic, ratios, as well as introductory concepts in force, motion, and simple machines. Students are sure to have a wild time as they build, learn, and play!
