Description

Hello Parents!

Our Coding class is scheduled to end on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

However, thanks to the school, we have been able to set up one more class of Coding for your kiddos next week on December 16th.  Everything will be the same - day, time, location - just one more day to share in fun learning of Coding with their friends and finishing up any loose ends in their projects.

To register for the last class, please click on the link at the bottom and complete the registration as you normally would.

Thank you, again, for a wonderful semester and for the opportunity to educate your child on the wonders of STEM.  I am available at any time for your questions or clarifications.

Sincerely,
Paras.

Course Description

Scratch is a super-fun way to introduce your child to the wonders of Coding!  Drag, Drop, Click… you’ll be amazed at what they can do!  NextGen SmartyPants's curriculum keeps things fresh and introduces kids to new and cool ways to practice, create, and design code with Scratch.

Junior Coding with Scratch® Junior (Grades K-2)

NextGen SmartyPants teaches Junior Coding using the Scratch Junior Graphical Programming Language across four increasingly challenging levels:

  • Level 1 - Introduction to Coding Concepts
  • Level 2 - Cartoon Animation and Storytelling
  • Level 3 - Playground Games We Play
  • Level 4 - Designing Our Own Video Games

Teachers assess Student skills and any previous Coding experience, and then adjust the curriculum provided to each child accordingly.  If your child has taken Coding with Scratch Junior before, they will be taught
at a higher level of the Coding curriculum to ensure that they are learning new material, challenged at their skill level, and gaining practice in their Coding skills.
