Program Extension - Registration Information

Dear Parents, we have been provided an opportunity to extend the end of our Amazing Animals Robotics course at Kelley this semester by two additional weeks on Wednesdays, December 10th and December 17th.  Everything remains the same - day of the week, time of day, location, NextGen Teacher, Robotics Equipment and Curriculum, etc. - just extended for the two additional weeks.  Tuition for the additional sessions is also offered at the same rate as the original program, just pro-rated for the additional 2-days.

Course Description

Lions and Tigers and Bears... Oh my!

In Amazing Animals Robotics students create their own robotic animals. Build them; code them; then make them RRROOOAARR!!! Students have fun and learn about engineering, coding, circuits, and sensors as they build Dinosaurs, Dolphins, Preying Mantises, and more.

Each week, Students build a different animal robot. Students learn about the animal and habitat and then use LEGO bricks, gears, and pulleys to build it. They add electrical motors, circuits, and sensors and apply their Math skills as they learn Engineering concepts. Finally, they Code their robots to make them move and react to its environment autonomously. Students learn how to apply their grade level skills in arithmetic, ratios, as well as introductory concepts in force, motion, and simple machines.

Your child is sure to have a wild time as they build, learn, and play!

Amazing Animals Robotics is offered for (10) weeks from 9/17 to 12/3.  Classes are held each Wednesday afternoon beginning immediately after-school at Kelley Elementary School on each of the following dates:

If the course is full, please join the Wait-List.  If there is enough interest, we will work with the school to add another class
or run the course again next Semester.  Thank you.

Expectations

The safety of our Students is our highest priority.  

All Students are expected to behave respectfully toward their Teacher and their fellow Students at all times.  Physical violence, foul language, bullying, stealing or throwing of NextGen SmartyPants equipment, or other disrespectful behaviors are strictly prohibited and will be grounds for dismissal from our program without refund. 

Student attendance will be taken during check-in and check-out during our class each week.  Parents, please notify your child's school administrator and their NextGen SmartyPants Teacher
if you are anticipating your child to be absent from our class.  A missing child is terrifying experience for anyone.  Your assistance with this helps us account for the whereabouts for each child.  Thank you.
