Description

9AM-12PM: LEGO CAD Studio

Design complex LEGO® builds using 3D Modeling on a computer, and learn Computer Aided Design (CAD) along the way.  Learning CAD is an essential design tool and LEGO® CAD makes it fun and easy for kids and adults to learn how to design with LEGO® bricks!  You'll learn how to use all the different resources available; implement symmetry and cool design techniques; navigate the software to build your LEGO® model in 3D; create your own step-by-step instructions; publish your MOC to the world; and even purchase just the LEGO® elements needed for your LEGO® model... all on the computer.  LEGO® CAD gives you access to every one of the more than 3700 LEGO® pieces, available in 52 different colors without needing a huge LEGO® inventory.  Have fun visualizing your LEGO® creations, and learn 3D Computer Aided Design in this super-fun class!

12PM-1PM: Lunch Break

Students should bring nut-free lunch, snacks, and juice to eat and enjoy as they get hungry throughout the day.  Water and restrooms are available.  If weather permits, campers will be taken outside to walk and enjoy the playground nearby.

1PM-4PM: Learn Coding and Video Game Design the Minecraft way!

Learn how to design and modify your own Minecraft landscapes, farms, and items.  Explore adventure maps, dungeon maps, designs of structures and buildings, and building elaborate farms. Beginner modding is perfect for those who have played Minecraft before but have never dabbled in mods. This camp gives you the right tools and resources you need to create advanced structures and designs that were previously impossible. From custom skins to new blocks and items, the possibilities are endless when it comes to modding Minecraft.
