9AM-12PM: LEGO CAD Studio

Design complex LEGO® builds using Computer Aided Design (CAD)!  Learning CAD is an essential design tool and LEGO® CAD makes it fun and easy for Students to learn how to design with LEGO® bricks!  You'll learn how to use all the different resources available; implement symmetry and cool design techniques; navigate the software to build your LEGO® model in 3D; create your own step-by-step instructions; publish your MOC to the world; and even purchase just the LEGO® elements needed for your LEGO® model... all on the computer.  LEGO® CAD gives you access to every one of the more than 3700 LEGO® pieces, available in 52 different colors without needing a huge LEGO® inventory.  Have fun visualizing your LEGO® creations, and learn 3D Computer Aided Design in this super-fun class!

Students are expected to have access to a computer that they can use with download capability (ie: ChromeBooks will not work), a high-speed internet connection, and a relatively quiet area where they can work.  A set of headphones and a mouse are highly recommended.
