NextGen's second-half of the Winter Semester runs for 6-weeks from 2/14-3/21. Each week is a different lesson! Classes are held each Tuesday In-Person at our Canton Studio for 1-hour or 2 hours - from 4:30-5:30PM or 4:30-6:30PM. Similar to Camps, longer class sessions enable students to experience significantly greater immersion in lessons.
Students can start learning at any time! Registrations made after the start date are automatically prorated to the end of the 6-week term. Educational content is adjusted to the experience level of the child. One-day drop-ins are available; however, multi-week registrations are highly recommended.
Participants must be 7 years or older when the program starts..
Lights, Camera, and... Action!
In iMovie for Kids, students have fun and learn a ton by writing, recording, editing, and producing their own movies! The NextGen Teacher acts as a Director for a movie plot as selected by the class. The class will select a movie plot from one of a number of themes available. Will we shoot a Spy Movie, a News Report, Sit-Com, Movie Trailer, or something else entirely?! Kids are guided on writing dialogue, putting on costumes, setting up a Green Screen, acting out scenes, and recording videos using iPads. Students then learn editing techniques using the iMovie platform, upload soundtracks, bring in images and video content, and work together to create a movie. At the end of the program, students receive a copy of the movie to show to friends and family!
Time is money, so let's get up to hair, make-up, and wardrobe and get this production started!
