Description

Get your LEGO lover ready to create their own videos from the LEGO buildings they make!

9AM-12PM: Beginner Stop-Motion Animation Studio

Create amazing movies with stop-motion animation using LEGO® bricks and more! Students learn introductory movie pre-production and production techniques to develop a storyline, build LEGO® landscapes and scenes, photograph their models according to their storyline, and add basic post-production sound effects and graphics. Movies are uploaded to a secure site to share with family and friends!

Students are welcome to develop their own LEGO® models for their movies; or, if they prefer, utilize many of our existing pre-built LEGO® sets. These include some of the most iconic sets in themes including Star Wars, Batman, LEGO Friends, Harry Potter, Ninjago, and more. All LEGO® materials, computers, webcams, lighting, booms, backdrops, and necessary software are all provided.

12PM-1PM: Lunch Break

Students should bring nut-free lunch, snacks, and juice to eat and enjoy as they get hungry throughout the day.  Water and restrooms are available.  If weather permits, campers will be taken outside to walk and enjoy the playground nearby.

1PM-4PM: LEGO Super Mario Bros

Mario?! Luigi?! Peach?! Bowser?!

LEGO Super Mario Bros teaches students all about the characters using LEGO bricks! Kids will create Bowser's castle, rescue Peach, and so much more! We will have a Yoshi Egg Hunt and students will build their very own Mario Kart racing car. 


Final Notes

  • All Campers are expected to be fully self-sufficient and on respectful behavior at all times.  Students are expected to address any special needs, medications, and bathroom responsibilities for themselves.  These include any masks and social distancing requirements that may arise during the Summer.
  • Students are welcome to eat snacks throughout the day and lunch between 12PM-1PM.  'Please' no nuts of any kind may be brought into our maker studio.  
  • Need a break or do something else?  Teachers are trained to adjust curricula as needed and in the best interest of the child.
  • Early-morning drop-off and/or late-afternoon pickup are available.
