Beginner Engineers
NextGen SmartyPants' Beginner Engineers teaches kids about Engineering and Physics concepts using LEGO® bricks and Technic® components! Students use Gears, Pulleys, Springs, Axles, Bushings, and more as they build and design their own systems. Students build Rovers, Cranes, Catapults, and more as they learn about angles, forces, and momentum and apply the math skills they learn in school via challenging hands-on, project-based learning.
Beginner Engineers contains an optional Lab session during a 2nd-hour of the program. During the Lab, students conduct experiments using the project they built during the first hour. This Lab provides students extra time to build their projects, conduct their experiments, complete calculations, modify their projects for different scenarios, and design more-complex solutions to problems. Using their projects in these experiments enables students to see their projects work and prove to themselves that their formulaic calculations are correct in different scenarios.
This Lab session is optional but highly recommended for students.
Please contact NextGen SmartyPants if you have any questions.
