Description

Intermediate Coding with MakeCode® and Javascript® builds on students' experience in Beginner Coding with Scratch to transition them from Drag-and-Drop Coding to Text-Based Coding. Students use Microsoft MakeCode to learn how to create animations, arcade games, and interactive story projects and convert their projects into Javascript.  Students also learn to control motors, web interaction elements, integration with circuits, and other advanced concepts.  At the end of the course, students create their own project and share it with their instructor and classmates. 

Students must meet the following Pre-Requisites prior to enrolling in this class:

  • At least 7-years of age and 10-weeks experience in Beginner Coding with Scratch
  • At least 10-years of age, preferably with some experience in Beginner Coding with Scratch is highly preferred. Your child will gain a lot more from this program with this experience behind them.
