Description

Sharpen your LEGO skills, because this full-day camp will put LEGO builder to the test!

9AM-12PM: LEGO CITY - Minifigure Adventures

LEGO® fans unite!  It's time to create a vast LEGO® world for our beloved Mini-figs!  Over the course of a week, students brainstorm and collaborate to build different aspects of a LEGO® City landscape.  Students are guided in character and storyline development with age-appropriate LEGO®-building and design techniques.  Kids have fun while hanging out with friends and building with more than 30,000 LEGO® bricks.  Students have fun; overcome Engineering building challenges; and let the creativity fly in the ultimate LEGO® building experience!

12PM-1PM: Lunch Break

Students should bring nut-free lunch, snacks, and juice to eat and enjoy as they get hungry throughout the day.  Water and restrooms are available.  If weather permits, campers will be taken outside to walk and enjoy the playground nearby.

1PM-4PM: Beginner Engineers

In the afternoon, students use LEGO Technic components as they learn about Engineering and Physics concepts.  Campers learn how to use Gears, Pulleys, Springs, Axle, Bushings, and more as they build and design their own projects.  Students build Rovers, Cranes, Catapults, and more as they learn about angles, friction, and forces and apply the math skills they learn in school via challenging, hands-on experiences.

Final Notes

  • All Campers are expected to be fully self-sufficient and on respectful behavior at all times.  Students are expected to address any special needs, medications, and bathroom responsibilities for themselves.  These include any masks and social distancing requirements that may arise during the Summer.
  • Students are welcome to eat snacks throughout the day and lunch between 12PM-1PM.  'Please' no nuts of any kind may be brought into our maker studio.
  • Early-morning drop-off and/or late-afternoon pickup are available.
  • Please contact us at any time with any additional clarifications and questions: (860) 272-4000.
