Description

This full-day camp helps students build their Robotics and Coding skills by exposing them to the application of Coding both on and off the computer.

9AM-12PM: Junior Robotics

In Junior Robotics, kids build and code everyday simple machines like Power Drills, Helicopters, Magic Wands, Robo-Pups, and more.  Students have fun learning about axles, gears, pulleys, and motors as they make their robotics creations come to life!  Lessons are designed to foster development of critical-thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills in a fun and engaging way.  Help your child prepare for a technological future in this super-fun class designed specifically for Juniors!

12PM-1PM: Lunch Break

Students should bring nut-free lunch, snacks, and juice to eat and enjoy as they get hungry throughout the day.  Water and restrooms are available.  If weather permits, campers will be taken outside to walk and enjoy the playground nearby.

1PM-4PM: Junior Coding with Scratch Junior

Junior Coding with Scratch Junior is a super-fun way to introduce your child to the wonders of Coding!  Drag, drop, click… you’ll be amazed at what they can do! NextGen's curriculum keeps things fresh and introduces kids to new and cool ways to practice, create, and design super-fun code with Scratch.  Those already familiar with Scratch Coding are provided more challenging projects with advanced concepts.
